Mitchley Chang
Role: Passenger aboard a colonisation voidship during the Expansion Age. Fifth, brief Packet of The First Wanderer. Affiliation: None stated — a colonist. Era: Plausibly ~619 A.L., the Timeline’s Expansion Age, roughly 500 years after Jenny Dunne’s generation-ship scene.
Summary
Stands before a great porthole watching an alien world come into view. The wanderer enters him only long enough to register the moment and judge that he has still arrived “too early” for anyone to grasp what he is — then exits. Chang is the story’s bridge between the slow generation-ship era and the high-empire Pasternak era.
