Summary
The ship that starts everything. The Democratic Bulgaric Republic defies the heavy international pressure to ban Ribbondash (following the 433 A.L. discovery of the “voiding” effect) and launches the Geo Milev anyway. Her success is the fait accompli that turns the Ribbondash Era from a theoretical possibility into the precondition for a galactic empire. Named for the historical Bulgarian poet Geo Milev (the Cyrillic form Гео Милев is given directly in the text).
